EASY-LINER

Individual path edging bands and lawn edgings made of metal

Metal path edging bands and lawn edging have been used in a variety of ways in gardening and landscaping for more than 100 years. They classically define paths, lawns or flowerbeds and provide clear lines and clean edges in gardens, parks and public spaces. Our Gartenmetall® system EASY-LINER is developed for the requirements of professional gardening and landscaping as well as for road construction and civil engineering and is already adapted ex works to the individual requirements on site.

We offer the steel edging bands which are made of Corten steel, stainless steel,colour-coated stainless steel or hot-dip galvanised steel as standard in three-metre lengths, in heights up to 350 mm and in thicknesses up to 12 mm. However, special dimensions, reinforced surfaces, curves and various connection options are always manufactured according to the customer’s specifications.

The steel bands can be directly hammered into the ground. More stable is anchoring with welded flat anchors, with flat iron anchors for plugging in or for highest loads with L-profile and flat anchors for hammering in.

The elements can be easily bent by machine and can thus be used for example as prefabricated modules for farm gardens. Manual bending on site is only possible to a limited extent and depends on the material thickness.

Tip: CORTENSTEEL-LINERs as a snail and slug barrier

Did you know that corten steel is an almost impossible obstacle for snails? The patina contains small amounts of copper (<1%) which stops snails and slugs from creeping and makes them turn away. This results in the ideal use of the Corten steel LINER for a vegetable garden.

Differences between

EASY-LINER and ECO-LINER

With the EASY-LINER system, in contrast to the ECO-LINER system, all conceivable variants and fastening options of the metal lawn edging are available. The EASY-LINERs are custom-made with the corresponding planning effort. This makes the EASY-LINER system more expensive but also more flexible. If price and delivery time are important to you, you should choose the ECO-LINER system. The prefabricated flat material made of normal structural steel, Corten steel or hot-dip galvanised steel can be delivered immediately from stock and cut to length on site with a cutting disc or metal saw. For the installation use local punctual foundation or plug-in steel edging stakes.

Our steel edging bands are not just simple metal bands as we have almost perfected them for professional gardening and landscaping: We offer you various connection options so that the tapes butt together stably, e.g. with fork lug or screw lug.

We also came up with something for fastening in the ground: Our lawn edgings are available for example with a welded flat anchor or, particularly convenient, with flat iron anchors with a receiving slot for the metal strips.

3) Top and reinforcement options

The top of the metal liner is available with a classic deburred, chamfered or, for special requirements, bevelled top edge. This makes the liner appear visually wider and provides more stability. It also allows the liner to be easily driven over with a lawnmower. Do you value 100 percent straight lines? Then we recommend that you choose EASY-LINER with reinforcement profile. This ensures precise alignment even over particularly long distances.

Mounting examples -

Our plug-in steel edging stakes are made of high quality corten steel, accurately beveled and produced with prestress for the blocking linkage with the liners. The edging stakes can be fixed into the ground in advance or they can be installed together with the liners. This work can be done so easily that there is no need for precise pre-planning in the case of simple constrution projects because everything can be adapted on site.

Farmer garden module made of

prefabricated EASY-LINER edging bands

Planning your farm garden or herb bed can be this simple and quick: Select the module, determine the edge length, sheet thickness and radius or diameter – done! For a complete farmer garden you need four edge modules and one to three rings. You receive ready-welded corner modules which are reinforced with cross struts for greater stability if required. In this way, the farm garden can be quickly constructed from just a few elements.

Instruction for installation

EASY-LINER

Our steel bands made of Corten steel, stainless steel, hot-dip galvanised steel or colour-coated stainless steel can be anchored stably in the ground in just a few steps. Here you can see how it works and what you need to keep in mind.

1. LINER 1/3 ihrer Höhe, mindestens jedoch 100 mm tief im Boden einbinden.
1. EASY-LINER 1/3 of its height, which has to be at least 100 mm (≈3.94 in) deep into the ground

2. During installation, always use intermediate timbers to protect the EASY‐LINER.
