With our high-quality TREND planters made of metal, you can really put your plants in the spotlight and upgrade any entrance area or terrace. Our TREND planters are available in square-cube and square-conical versions and also with or without a water-permeable base. We recommend placing a coaster underneath to prevent rust staining. All planters are made by Gartenmetall®.

The plant troughs are characterised by:

Our conical TREND planters have a square base and look particularly elegant thanks to their narrow base. The shape really shows off grasses or taller plants.
The bottom of the metal planters is water-permeable as standard and all edges are rounded. If the plant troughs are going to be filled directly with soil, we recommend lining the insides with root insulation boards. The panels made of polystyrene rigid foam provide protection for the root area against heat and frost damage. Especially when placing corten steel planters, a coaster should be placed underneath as a precaution. This prevents rust marks on patio and decking surfaces.

Coaster for planter
A stainless steel coaster protects the patio floor from soil and rust water. Since coasters have a limited water‐holding capacity, water will always overflow during periods of heavy rain, causing some contamination. It is essential to install non‐conductive spacers made of wood or synthetic material with a minimum thickness of 10 mm between the corten steel planter and the stainless steel base. Only then is it possible for the planter to dry out again, even in the bottom area.
Root insulation board
Root insulation boards made of extruded polystyrene hard foam (XPS), 20 mm thick, which are adapted on site, are recommended to protect the root zone from frost and heat.
